Cycling life

Call me a late bloomer, but I finally figured it out. I am just over 40 years old and I know what I want to do with the rest of my life, ride bicycles, I want to explore, travel, see the world, do lots of “stupid trips” on my bike. I usually ride solo, but enjoy when friends or my partner come along. He will join me in some adventures and we have the greatest times. I love riding for fun and racing, but I also like good food, coffee, comfy beds, hot tubs, camping under a star lite sky or sleep to the sound of the ocean. I love road riding, but not having to coexist with cars is a blessing. I haven’t givin up wanting to be a mountain biker, but may have to stick with riding drop bars.

Having fun joining many different cycling events, from women’s only group rides to crazy single speed course optional competition, mountain bike clothing optional race,… There is an amazing amount of cycling events unknown to most of us and They are the best way to visit new areas and meet new friends.

An amazing network of less known trails exists across Canada and the US and they are just waiting to be ridden, hopefully I can find enough time and courage to explore them all really soon!

I have been working in the bicycle industry for many years now and I figure that it’s about time I stop talking about the feel and components of a bike and just ride one for a while!
